What is a licensed Dayhome exactly?

What is a licensed Dayhome exactly?

Licensed Dayhomes are Government and Agency regulated. These Dayhomes are places that provide meaningful and necessary tools for children to explore and excel in what they do. ECCA’s Educators are certified, screened, and trained to provide for children’s individual needs. Licensed Dayhomes have ratios and standards in place.

Am I eligible for subsidies and grants?

ECCA is a Government Licensed Agency that provides subsidies and grants.
We require you to bring a recent notice of assessment and social insurance number. You can apply by filling out the online subsidy application; if you wish to apply while registering with us you can. To see if you qualify, click on Estimate your Subsidy.

What are the average costs of childcare?

ECCA’s Educators set their own rates, not the agency so the cost will vary according to their education level, experience, and if they provide meals.
The average costs are:
Full Time: $850 to $1200 this is monthly
Part-Time: $ 550 to $650 monthly
Before or After School Care: $450 to $550
Before and After School Care: $550 to 600 (These rates generally include PD days and school traditional calendar holidays. For summer care, refer to full-time rates.)

Get to know your Dayhome Educator.
ECCA will refer you to several Dayhomes in your area. We encourage both the family and child to meet the Dayhome Educator and visit the Dayhome. The first impression and the bond are very important for a healthy and successful relationship.
How do I choose a Dayhome in my area and what are my next steps after that?

*You can fill out the online application on this webpage or, if you prefer, give us a call. Then we will provide you with a list of Dayhomes in your surrounding area.
*Call the educators, and explain your needs. If it's part-time or full-time; before or after school; preferred rates, etc. Set a MEET AND GREET and conduct your interview. If you are needing more support, refer to how to choose a Dayhome. It is very important to meet before registration. Take your time and search for more than one Dayhome.
*If you find the best fit and both parties agree (family and Educator) call us to set up an appointment.
